Issue on Facebook feeds in People

My boyfriend just got this phone in yesterday and I noticed that when you link some of the people's contacts to their facebook pages their updates aren't showing. It's like 3 people out of all the ones he has. Me & two other people. It'll show updates made through other things on facebook like runkeeper & status shuffle, but not my personal updates. Any ideas why? It's very strange, imo. Thanks for any help!
