Issue with background tasks on 14393.693 (Lumia 735)

Every once in a month or so all my background tasks stop updating. I have quite a few running but the phone is coping just fine. Until one day I find that the Chronos Calendar is stuck on yesterday, that Nextgen Reader doesn't update article count and headlines, that Sensie doesn't update step count and a couple of other things. All the background tasks stop at once, there is no cascade (or I haven't seen such yet). Notifications and badges (those small numbers on tiles) still work though.

Anyone has encountered something like this? May it be a rouge bg task? Or is this a system "feature"?

Frequent reboots help with W10M.

This is not a mature OS, but still beta software. Whenever I put the phone on the charger, I switch it off for a quick reboot. Hey, we rebooted since Windows 95. It's a feature.

Well I was hoping for a little more. They didn't build an OS from nothing. But whatever. Back to 90s I guess.
