I'm also worried about getting the console banned with early access...

There were some people that got a shipment early from Target (last week some time). Did you hear about those? The guy went all willy-nilly on Twitter about it, and went nuts when he was "perma-banned". MS came out and said all console would not get access to the servers until the launch. So it obviously was not a ban, could call it a suspension.

I got my tracking number this morning ! YEA !!! It's not trackable YET but, I still got my conformation of it shipping...

Hope I get it the day before but, as long as I have it on release day, I will be happy !

it isn't the same, that shipment went out from target by mistake and by a retailer.

These tracking #s are coming from MS themselves from the microsoft store. They wouldnt ban people getting consoles early straight from them. Of course, we will never know, but i'd lean towards that side it wouldnt happen.

no update on my trackign since sunday, still says no location and estimated delivery is today. Looks like they are hoarding this until a friday ship.

My tracking hasn't updated and I've had a tracking number since Saturday. Anyway, it would be great to get it a little early, but I'd be content just to have a working unit on Friday. I don't expect the launch to go completely smoothly, but so long as I don't get a brick (i.e. PS4's blue pulse) I'll be thrilled.

I also received a tracking number and charge on Saturday, but no updates. My assumption is that either Microsoft is just prepping the packages to be picked up on Wed/Thurs or UPS will keep them in the local facilities until they are allowed to deliver them. If MS sold 500k pre-orders (probably not an unreasonable number to assume), can you imagine how hard it would be to get those all out of the warehouse at the same time? "Hey, UPS, can you come get half a million boxes from me on Thursday for overnight shipping? Thanks!"

Edit: Bored math - Assuming 500k units in a 2 ft^3 box, divided by about 2000 ft^3 in a 28' truck, means 500 fully-loaded UPS delivery trucks just for Xbox Ones this Friday!

I even got a email from "UPS My Choice" staying scheduled delivery for tomorrow...Yea, right.. I guess if Microsoft releases them early today, Maybe, Mine is coming from PA, so it would be 1 day shipping if it was released today...

It would be really cool to get it early but, I am sure none of us will get it till Friday...

As long as I have it for the weekend, I'll be happy !

My tracking number hasn't updated either and the site says that delivery is scheduled for today before the end of the day. I did get an email from ups saying they haven't gotten the package to be shipped yet and a new delivery day cannot be determined but the tracking site still says today for delivery so I don't know what to think lol. I was hoping that it was just put on the truck and hadn't been scanned. I was talking to someone at best buy and he's in the same boat... Tracking number with no update. I'll be pretty mad if my day one xbox came next week lol

ya pretty sure MS just created all the labels before hand, hoarding the xbox's and then giving to UPS probably tomorrow or thursday for next day delivery. dammit!

I think they would. Not permanently...but I could 100% picture them banning consoles from downloading the day 1 update until the 22nd (at least the 22nd in New Zealand).

People use the word BAN! and instantly assume "forever".

When Halo Reach launched I picked up a copy a day early at the local fed ex sorting facility where my shipment was held. They said that there were instructions that it could not be delivered until the next day, but there were no instructions about pick-up so they let me have it.
