You keep mentioning the Band, but that's like comparing a Smart car to a Ferrari. This is cheaper than a Fitbit which is what it compares to, although there are many other devices in that market too.

Still, not bad value as you say if you want a basic step counter.

Right - it is not an apples to apples comparison.

I am more curious, because I am not really sure what a 'smart watch' for.

Also the Band - I want to wait till the next iteration comes out.

$12 is my foray into this area.
