I have to say so far this phone is running great and smooth after installing the .448 OTA update.... Didn't really expect a whole lot with the specs but wow this phone runs great... I love windows OS ... More people need to realize how great the OS can run on specs like this... It's incredible...

Also is that the latest update pushed out by Microsoft or is cricket holding me back from an update?

Yep, it's the latest one released for a Production ring and btw, carriers have no reach on Microsoft OS updates. They can hold back only firmware updates which in "Windows Mobile world" are separated from OS updates :)
The newest firmware is 01078.00042.16352.XXXXX
Hope this helps:)

I just got a 650 and that is not how I would describe it. It is quite laggy almost everywhere and apps are very slow to load, reboot, and operate. I get that it is low specs but it is not an amazing performer by any means

That's strange... Did you update to the latest update... After I did the update I factory reset the device so it starts fresh with the newer software and updated all the apps...

It adds a support for "Double tap to wake" feature and some other minor changes/fixes. If I'm not mistaken, Cricket didn't release it yet. Your version is the previous one.

I talked to a Cricket customer service representative a few weeks ago just asking her to pass on the message that we need this firmware. She was very friendly and said she would definitely let the right people know. I have no idea if she actually did or not, but I don't have any reason to doubt her. It has been taking forever though.

I know this is a little unrelated but in sim settings i see it says no apn found for LTE.
Below that says default apn and for messaging it gives a choice to add an apn. Most things seem to work ok, some group texs don't work.
Thanks
I have tried to attach a screen shot from phone, but must not be smart enough to figure it out.

Are you on Cricket? If yes, it should all just work.

If not, we would need to know what Carrier you are on..

I don't use group text so I can't verify...

However, it should all be set up. For instance I can send and receive MMS. That is the same group of settings as Group Text.

You could ditch the Default APN and set up your own APN and MMS settings. Follow these guidelines: https://www.cricketwireless.com/sup...d/customer/bring-your-own-windows-device.html

However, you say only some Group Texts don't act right. Are any of the participants using iPhone during these failed send/receive issues? iPhone's imessage is notorious for not playing well with others...
