Hello all,
I thought I would just introduce myself. I have been here on these forums before but never really dove into Windows phone (well we have a backup 520/521 when we were on ATT) because I was always busy with Android/iOS. I have owned iPhones since the 3G model and I currently own the iPhone 6. I thought I would change it up some and try the Lumia Icon because of its stellar camera and Windows 8.1 looks like a good little OS (based on video reviews and little time on the 520/521).
Having 6 lines on my Verizon account, I feel it is a good idea to have a backup phone in case someone's phone needs to be sent out for repair or if something comes up. I decided to finally purchase the Icon after mulling it over for a few weeks. It should be here Saturday and I am looking forward to play with Win 8.1 on a previous flagship model. Who knows, if I like it a lot I may just sell my iPhone 6 64GB and pay off my EDGE balance. I could then buy the iPhone 6s or see what flagship phones Microsoft pushes out late this year.
I know there may be posts already dedicated to these questions but is there anything I should check on the Icon as soon as I get it? Known common issues? What are your guys' feeling on the camera compared to the newer flagship phones out (win and non-win)?
I hope to learn a lot about this phone since I think it will compliment my other potential Win 10 machines (Xbox one, Surface Pro 3 and my own built PC).
