Keyboard Voice Typing Button? Cortina vs. SMS Voice Response/Processing?

So I had my first hands-on with WP 8.1 at the new Microsoft Store in the Roosevelt Field mall a couple weeks ago, and I liked it a lot. However, there was a glaring issue I found with it, when compared to the other mobile operating systems, and that is the fact that there seems to be no universal voice typing button built in to the keyboard. Both the iOS and Android keyboards have this capability built in, but I only found voice typing available on WP in a few places. Are there any plans to change this, so people can take advantage of voice typing in applications such as Word?

Additionally, the interface for voice typing in apps such as SMS is different than what one would see in Cortana. The text feedback to the user's voice in Cortana is more realtime responsive, whereas in the Messaging app, one sees the graphical feedback from WP 8.0, and the text result was sometimes not as accurate as what I got from Cortana. Is there any chance that all the voice typing will, in the near future, be unified under Cortana?

Cortina.... lol

But ya i do agree, it would be really nice to have Cortana able to type in everything from messages, mails to word docs & maybe even some third party apps like whatsapp or so.
