I have a user who looks after some pretty big industrial equipment, but his pc is still running windows XP. I am desperate to get rid of it but can't as he uses it to link in with the production systems which don't work with anything newer than xp. To upgrade would cost several hundred thousand pounds to upgrade the production systems, and at least a months downtime whilst it was rebuilt, so it is out of the question.
I have a nice shiny new pc for him, but it uses DisplayPort, and his old pc uses VGA. I am looking for a KVM that would allow me to connect both pcs to the same monitor so he can use the new pc as his daily driver but keep access to the xp pc for technical work (it will then be hidden behind an industrial net to keep it off the main network & most importantly off the internet).
Any suggestions?
