Recently I have problems with my Nokia Lumia 1320. It's getting heated on upper back side while I am net surfing, previously it was too. But now on heating it gets switched off automatically. Still no updates for w10m. Anybody faces same problem? Any solution to this problem? Any solution after updates? Why these smartphone heating while using especially internet surfing or gaming?

are you using 3G for surfing? That is usually a big consumer of battery and hence the heating.
1320 cannot receive update to W10M officially. If you want to get W10M you can try using the insider program but this is risky as the W10M might not work properly on your phone

@Chintan, but why 3G network has heating issues. It is faster than 2G, so less time to download or surfing. So technically there should be no heating. So why it heated after long use of internet. And what do you say about gaming, there is no use of internet, so why it heated while gaming.

3G and 4G/LTE use more battery power precisely because of that speed. To provide fast and higher speeds, the power consumption is higher. Do you use more energy when carrying a heavier item or lighter item?

And gaming usually is a an activity that uses the processor a lot hence the processor gives out more heat. You can type all you want on word and battery won't take a hit but start gaming and your battery drops fast. This is the same on all phones and pcs
