[L1320] Worth it or not?

Hi friends.

I have a simple question, i've bought a lumia 630 and i am happy with it and my girlfriend seems to be happy as well...WITH MY PHONE!
So the thing is that she wants to buy one and i was thinking that maybe i could give her this one and buy a Lumia 1320, but does it worth? 300? is the max amount of money that i want to spend on a device. I just wonder if it worths, and if 1320 is one of those devices that MS follows with updates including cyans and etc plus a future update to the next version of Windows Phone (Threshold). Thanks in advance.

Noone can answer the question whether its worth it or not for you.
But I can say while big (big minus for me, big plus for others), the display is quite nice, it has 1 GB of RAM, meaning its in the upper echelon of Windows Phones. The camera is meh.
It's a solid device, i wouldn't get it because of the size, but its doesnt mean you won't like it.

Thanks, i was just wondering if it worth due to support and etc. But MS works quite nice with OS update even that it takes some time. I liked the phone, feels great in hand and as i browse a lot, big screens are a + to me.

It will be a nice upgrade to your 630. The screen looks really nice and the phone has amazing battery life.

Some variants of the 1320 already got the cyan update. I would check Nokia's website to see if the one you are thinking of buying already got it.

I used to have a 635 before I got the 1320. Although the 635 was a great phone despite several drawbacks, I'm a lot happier with the 1320.

Everything is nice and big, the 720p display is gorgeous, being able to run whatever game/app with 1gb RAM is great (make sure to get a microSD card because the 1320 comes with about 5gb usable storage, if I remember correctly). I have great service with Cricket but as of yet, 8.1 is under testing. You'll definitely miss all the goodies 8.1 and Cyan bring (for now), but know you'll definitely be receiving the update eventually, so no worries there.

I recommend going to a Cricket store to get some hands-on time with the 1320. You can also compare it with the 630 to see the difference.

I saw it exposed and decided to check it out, as i intended to pass my 630 to my gf. Just wanted to be sure about it. Does the CPU loses something compared with the 630?

Not much that should really matter AFAIK.

Nah. It's just as fast, if not, faster. At least it feels that way to me. I think the 1gb of RAM may have something to do with that.

i own an Lumia 1320 from the day it got released in India and have never regretted my decision, the only let down is the Camera which is 5mp but since i don't take photo's, i didn't care about it. the positives are, very good display, 6 inches, good to read documents, browse, watch movies, games run smooth (i ain't gamer but have both Real Racing 2 and Asphalt 8: Airborne), Have all my required messengers installed. Using a class 10, 64 GB SanDisk Micro SD to store all my games and apps.

Don't know whether it will get WP 9.0 or whatever they are going to call the next operating system but i'm happy with my purchase. let me know if you have any questions, i would be glad to answer.

one more thing, if you want a good camera and + some features, try 1520

Camera is definitely not a problem. As i have said before, i am going to pass my 630 to my GF but, i wanted to get a tablet as well so i thought about a big screen display as i use to browse a lot. That way i don't spend twice the money and one device fits for both things a new Lumia phone and "tablet" even that it's not a tablet i am sure i can do most of the tasks as it was one. I think this is it. Thank you all for the info.
