L2TP VPN now supported in the update

VPN has always been a part of 8.1 via IKEv2. The question is will PureVPN finally work with it, whether or not we use L2TP or IKEv2? Time to reopen those threads.

Wait... I looked at those old threads over on purevpn f?rums... looks like it's working.. I'll give it a shot.

Goal will be to see if I can stream Hulu from the USA to my Windows Phone here in Mexico.

VPN has been apart of 8.1 but it didn't support L2TP. Now that it does it makes VPN available for all except for those with Cisco Anyconnect. Come on Cisco!

I've tried with PIA (Private Internet Access) but I'm getting error 809 - I'm assuming their servers are behind a NAT device. There's a fix for Windows 8 from MS (I can't post links but a Google search should locate it - kb/926179) but nothing for WP8.1...

Same problem here. 809. VPN server on a Synology. Working fine with my other devices (Win 8 PC)

Man, this sucks. Couldn't wait to try out PIA... how unfortunate.
