[L635] Denim update?

The get Cortana "working" she needs to "understand" a language .
So she first "learned" American. (learning means OS version)
Now she already learned more languages (see list) and that's why you need the OS update if you want to use here in these countries.
But she still need to learn a lot languages.
So it's understandable that she learns "step by step" or in other words you need an OS update to do this.

Now the release of these OS updates is something else.
The release of official updates is indeed a pain in the .... because you also need carriers support.

Luckily you can get OS updates (for official updates) earlier if you are enrolled in preview for developer.

So yes it the update process should be improved but it will still take considerable time before Microsoft can do it like Apple.

Any idea why my mother(same phone) got an option to update to denim today while mine didn't? Both have 635, can download it from the site but not sure.. Only diff i noticed is asking Cortana "hey Cortana" on moms phone she replies verbally"yes what can i do for you" on my phone get a screen message saying "yes that's me" and Bing results about Cortana

so when WILL US version get denim, hers US got it, mines tstill beta cortana too

I don't remember what was in Denim alone, but if you install WP 10 on your 635 (which works great), you will get a lot of benefits which make the phone seem almost new and the new camera app with rich capture and the ability to increase ISO to the point where you can get photos you wouldn't otherwise have. Of course you won't get a separate camera button, flashlight or Hey Cortana, but you already knew that.
