Re: Nokia Lumia 820 battery (2400mah Normal Size)!!!

Honestly batteries like this are a bit of a risk. More often than not those horror stories you hear about batteries burning people are aftermarket batteries that haven't been properly tested and aren't built to last as long as your stock batteries.

If this works for you, great. But I'd be wary.

Re: Nokia Lumia 820 battery (2400mah Normal Size)!!!

Finally I got the battery! It works but I think the phone recognizes the battery as an 1650 mAh battery and it doesn't charge it fully. I'll probably get a bp-5t charger.

I don't think the phone can tell you how much a battery has in terms of true capacity. (how do you know?)
I don't think we have access to a real battery capacity reading through either settings or API.

Try cycling the battery, it should be able to take full advantage of the battery, regardless of what it tells you.

Maybe it's time you ended your battery troubles with a lumia 830. It has a better camera, more efficient quad core cpu, HD screen. There are just pros no cons!

there are cons dude! The L830 is an amazing phone but I've just checked the benchmarks and my L820 in some benchmarks has double the score that the 830 has! Don't be fooled by the quad core cpu, the most important thing in a cpu is the clock speed and then the cores download Pi Benchmark and check up your cpu my score is 219 Milliseconds. I like the camera of the 830!!! But I just love my 820.

Think you've been duped mate, if it was truly 2400mah you'd look to get way more than that.
Its a full 800mah over the original, i.e. half the battery, most people get a full day from the 1600 so I'd expect a full day/half from a 2400mah.

Try reducing brightness to low, then set to auto. Turn data/3G off altogether and have wifi set on instead, polling the network constantly kills the battery.
Ensure bluetooth off until needed, turns app sync off to on-demand only (i only have news/weather on live tile update).
Turn location off (i only turn it on when I need to talk to cortana or satnav). Exchange push set to hourly checks outside work, 15 mins during.
Easily get a day/half from 1600 battery this way.

Hi guys lately I discovered that the 2400 mah battery is ****!!! That's beacause it charges up to 40 or 50% and then it goes up to 100%. And the battery drains quickly and after it was emty If I would let the battery rest for a couple of days the battery would go up to 20-40%!!! So don't buy it, or I got a ****y unit!
