Latest firmware killed my surface

Ok, so I updated the firmware and the os yesterday. At first my screen would not respond to touch. I just tried turning the touchscreen off and it killed even the TouchPad on the cover.

I am now stuck with a tablet that is stuck with a blinking white screen and nothing else. Is there anything that I can do to fix this?
