For those like me who are choking on their own drool yet can't explain it, I thought I'd pass along what I've seen as the latest release date for the XV6800.
Of course, as usual, take it with a brick of salt.
The word appears to be that it'll be available for b2b/web/telesales on 11/28, and retail on 12/5. Oh, and that the 2-year price is $499 , not including something that looks like a $50 mail-in rebate.
I suppose I could follow the sage advice of a subsequent post on hofo to wait until the product actually launches with the official price to be annoyed at that price... but why wait? What the hell is with that price?!? How could it be that the XV6800 is $100 more than the SCH-i760 when they're so similar in content? Or did I miss something?

I gotta give credit where it's due... I found it via this guy's post:
