I wonder if it will see a US release. I know Lenovo has already released a couple phones in Asia and hasn't brought them to the US.

A distinct possibility. Maybe it's a Tango phone for the Chinese market where WP7 is having a strong presence. I can't see the US carriers adding yet another OEM to their lineups. Not yet anyway.
