I don't know about the 950 but on my 950 XL when I try to download the app it shows a small "!" and says the app is not compatible with the device. I'm assuming this is on Line's end and they need to update the app for this to be fixed.

But just to remind people that use this app on daily basis (like me), that you will have to do without for now if you get the 950XL.

Hope they'll fix it soon...

Hmm that's no good. They just pushed a new update today I noticed on my 1520 which is on build 10586 and the app is supposed to be Windows 10 "optimized" now according to the update log, whatever that means but it sure doesn't fee like it. Didn't think they wouldn't support the 950XL. Though since the app itself is pretty poorly made, not even talking about specific W10 features like actionable notification but it doesn't even integrate with the share contracts of the OS like other IM apps does (a feature it lacks since WP8), it's probably no surprise.

Interesting I use Line daily on my Lumia 920, It works without a hiccup I am Running the latest build of win mobile. It also picked up all my contact phone numbers without any problems what so ever.

Not phone contacts - share contracts. Share contracts is a system wide feature where when an app is written to supports it you hit the "share" button and the OS gives you a list of apps to choose from, which is very handy for things like sharing webpages or posting links without having to do copy/paste. For example when you read an interesting article on Edge and you want to show it to your friends via IM, you can hit the three dots and bring up the menu, which the "Share" option is right at the top, press it and it will bring up apps to share the page in (email, messaging, Whatsapp, reading list etc etc), you select the app and the link will be automatically pasted in the composition window and waiting for you to send it away (usually that is how it is implemented). Line doesn't support this, actually never supported it on WP (but does on iOS and Android, go figure), which is really bad for an IM app cos others like Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger etc all does. The Line WP app had always been a dial in effort.

If you hard reset after the latest build, Line will unavailable in Windows Store. If you have Line installed already and it will works fine.

But if in 950/XL we can't download Line (or any apps that doesn't exist on W10 Store), it will be shameful. The Widows 10 Store is not ready yet.

Yeah I also was using 920 on latest preview builds of windows 10 before the switch and line was working fine then. So it's odd that it seems like it's because of the device not the OS. I hope they update the app soon to fix it, apparently they're working on a windows 10 universal app (pc version already released)

FWIW if you restore from a backup the Line app will download and function. Tested on my 950XL.

I see, thanks! At the moment I don't want to restore from backup because I'm afraid that it will slow down my phone...thats why I started afresh. I tried to find the app in "My Library" installed apps, but I couldn't find it there either..

I have same problem in my Lumia 730. I had uninstalled because the app was lag, and when I will install, the store said that Line is not compatible in my device

I guess we just have to wait for the Windows 10 mobile version to come out to solve this problem completely. I know it should be almost done since they released the Windows 10 Store version few weeks back. Fingers crossed...

The app seems to be updated and now downloadable with my 950XL. There's no changes to the app though, still the same old crappy version. Hope the windows 10 mobile version will come soon and be great..

"NPR One" was also no longer available for the 950XL. Probably my top 5 apps used on a daily basis.
