i have this enabled when i take a picture its like a short video.how do i select a different frame from the living image

I don't know...i don't see the value in it

It is/was a gimmick :) All platforms have their own little things that made them unique and this could've been one more for WP, but it was limited to only a handful of devices

thanks.....i guess i kinda see a use for it when something is going on and you want more than just a picture...i think it only works or play back on the phone?

It does have a use, as it can capture that funny moment before a picture is taken, like when people are counting down (just an example). Like I said it's a gimmick. If you followed the link I gave then you would've found a few more questions at the bottom, that would help to answer most of your questions

I think one place living images really shines at least for me, is when used in a Lumia Storyteller video... when the video is played it plays the captured moment for each photo taken with a living image. When added to a Storyteller video this along with videos and other still images gives it a lot of character.

It turn it off, myself.
One thing that really irritates me is, if the flash is on, the living images look better than the actual picture.
Then, I have to re-take the picture so it doesn't look worse than the living images that I can't do anything with.
Hehehe...

On your recommendation, I did a Storyteller video (from some baseball game pictures).
I found it very jarring and the 30 second limit was annoying.
Of course, this is my opinion.
I don't think I'll keep using it.

I could see if they were action shots then that would be a little wild. I did a big hike recently had took a bunch of static nature shots and it worked nice for that, but say a concert or even people moving around much wouldn't look as good.
