Local Scout, only available with location turned on in Bing.

When I got one of my replacement phnes, I noticed a large tile that said Local Scout. It opened up to showing me where the nearest restaurants, shopping, places to go, are to me.

I did a factory reset and it was gone. I looked in the app store and couldn't find it.
I figured out that in the settings for Bing, I had location turned off. Once I turned it on, Bing opened up to not the usual 2 options at the bottom, but a "new" third option. I clicked on it and it turned out to be Scout. The settings within Scout then allow you to pin the tile to your start screen.


So, if anyone else was confused by this (I was), there you go. I guess you just need location turned on within Bing.

I saw this as well, just assumed Nokia City Lens would be better & removed the tile.

Might get 'round to comparing the 2 someday.
