Is there an app like App Lock on Windows phone 8 to lock Whatsapp, gallery, sms? Really hate it when people shamelessly sneak into them.

Nope, OS doesn't give those APIs to devs to play with.

we can select as many apps we want in kids corner, right,?

its up to the dev to put a pasword on an app. I have used one app that had a lock. Truly a developers prerogative

Yes, even pocket file manager has.

I suppose, instead of locking individual app, kids corner is best. Provided it opens without password or separate password from our main password.

It will be the same there too for messaging apps like Whatsapp or similar, even one can go into the gallery given you have the camera present in the kids corner.

I think, its upto app developers. If they want, they can provide app lock. take an example of photolocker apps.
