Long goodbye on Nokia 830

Why does it take so long for my phone to say goodbye?

Hi, the 'goodbye'screen hangs on for nearly a minute before totally shutting down when I turn the phone off

I just timed the shutdown on my 830 (win8.1) ... took 24 seconds from when 'Goodbye' appeared. For what it's worth I timed shutdown time on my Moto X Pure ... 23 seconds. Even if it took a minute I certainly wouldn't be concerned.
