I'm about the take the plunge and switch over from my Centro to a Touch Diamond. I had the original Sprint Touch briefly, but was frustrated by a number of aspects -- especially the battery life, which was worse than the Centro's.
One of my favorite apps on the Centro is Power Hero, which seems to extend the battery life about 30-40% by controlling the default activation states of Bluetooth, phone network connection, the screen and IR. For instance, I can set the phone connection to remain off between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, or some other schedule. I can set Bluetooth to remain off in between phone calls.
Is there a similar app for Windows Mobile? Whenever I do a search, I keep finding guidelines for developers on power management, but there has to be a utility out there somewhere.
