Looks like Navigon has Canada maps now

Just checked their website and it mentions Canada map is available for a single fee. Anyone tried it? Better than a dedicated GPS?

Have you already tried Nokia Here+ Drive? Does it work well for you? It is a free option that you might want to try before paying for another app.

I have Navigon on my HTC Titan (WP7.5). The original purchase had US maps only. Early this year I purchased a package that included Canada maps and 2 year map updates. I don't have my Titan on hand so I cannot check the exact name of the app (Canada map + map update).

Now I am using Here Drive+ primarily. It's okay but I do see some missing features when comparing to Navigon and other stand-alone navigators. A big one for me is that Here Drive+ misses lane assistance. Other issues includes bugs in Here Drive+, and sometimes weird route planned.
