Loss of network connectivity after update to Black

I have noticed that after updating to Black, my phone switches between H+ and E more often than before and while switching, there's no network connectivity for a few seconds in between. The phone would show H for sometime, with only one bar, then there would be no network for a few seconds then it would come back with E. After sometime, the other way round.

My wife's 720 which has Amber and connects to the same network as my phone doesn't seem to have this problem.

Anyone noticed this problem with their phones after updating to black?

I noticed it also after the Black update. I always thought it's the carriers' problem. A lot of problems since this update. Tiles not updating anymore, peek not as responsive as before. The only thing left for me is to do a hard reset.

I have a Lumia 920 and have experienced the same issue.
I can receive calls but cannot make calls or send SMS.
Restarting the phone or reselecting the mobile carrier fixes the issue.
Very frustrating.
I am now running the Developer version of 8.1 and have the same issue.
