Good Day Ladies and Gents,

I'm very interested in purchasing an Ativ S, but am currently familiar with the different versions. I do see that there seems to be an ATT compatible model with LTE, or do all of the Ativ S's have LTE?

Only the SGH-T899M has LTE, but that may not be true. Recent discovery in the diagnosis app found an LTE option on non-LTE ATIV S'es. Windows Phone 8 is customized for non-LTE and LTE. One good example is the Lumia 810 for T-Mobile, it had LTE, but was disabled and was to be re-enabled in a future update, which was later shelved due to the 810 reaching EOL on T-Mobile. The SoC has not been confirmed either (MSM8960 has LTE in-built, but the MSM8260 does not, so from there we can find out but Samsung has not revealed this information. Only can be reavealed from a teardown) and in the announcement video, LTE was mentioned too. Its up to Samsung now.

The T899 only has LTE for the 2100/1700 AWS bands, so on AT&T you'd have to be in certain markets to pick it up. HSPA+ and the likes all work great.

I live right outside of Chicago, and I do see my LTE pop up pretty frequently, even more so than a few months ago. This is just personal experience, I'm sure others can chime in as well.
