Lumia 1020 Camera Grip + File Transfer locking up.

Hello WP goers.

I recently noticed an issue with my Lumia 1020. Not sure if the 8.1 preview caused the problem or not, but anytime I have the Camera Grip attached, the file transfers through usb locks up in Windows. The minute I take the grip off it functions properly again.

Anyone know why this is happening? It's rather inconvenient to take off the grip every time I want to connect to my PC.

Same with mine. No it's not 8.1. It always did this.

A USB (2.0) has four pins, 2 for power, the other for data. The camera grip doesn't have the data pins connected.

As @Expression2 previously mentioned 2 data pins are not connected

Perhaps the data lines cannot be used as such on the grips micro usb, as are for being used by the grips Shutter button to the phones micro usb.

Nokia grip specs do state:
Connectivity: Charging connectors: Micro-USB
USB: USB 2.0

So glad I found this thread, I was going bonkers trying to figure out why I couldn't get the desktop phone app to sync to my 1020.
