Lumia 1020 died and won't switch back on

My Lumia 1020 screen went black earlier and the phone switched off. It won't switch back on and soft resets are having no effect. The Windows light isn't coming on when I connect it to the charger or a computer.

If it helps, the phone was charging and in use when it switched off. I've had some problems with it recently (mainly it freezing and needing a soft restart) but nothing like this.

Any help would be much appreciated - my laptop died yesterday and I could really do with at least one functioning piece of technology!

A similar problem (including the freezing issues) happened with my L1020 a few months ago where it was plugged in when I decided to restart it... but mine went straight to a BOOT ERROR. I'm suspecting that your L1020 has a different case - it could just be a problematic or dead battery.

Nonetheless, try taking it to a service center to have it diagnosed and/or repaired.
