Lumia 1020 released on my birthday...so I asked Stephen Elop for a present and got this as a reply!

Dear Mr. Elop,

I was watching your press conference earlier today with excitement about
the new Lumia 1020 phone.  Then when I heard that it would be released on
July 26th I thought, hey that would be an amazing birthday present!!

I already bought a Lumia 920 that I use all the time, but I will be in
contract for another year and a half.  I love the 920, but I still however
find myself taking out my old Kodak 5mp camera to take pictures.  While the
Lumia excels in low light, it can't compete with the zoom on the Kodak.
The 1020 would change all that!

So, I humbly (or not so humbly) ask that for my 30th birthday, Nokia send
me a new Lumia 1020.  That way I will always have the best shot of my most
precious photography subject (see attached picture)

And if you can't do that, at least keep making the best, most innovative
smartphones available.  I have already had multiple co-workers make the
switch to the 920 and 928 because of my showing off of my own 920!

Sorry, unfortunately we cannot provide them as gifts.  But you are right, the 1020 would be an amazing addition for you.  
For example, in your picture, we could easily capture the brand of running shoes or the details of your child's smile :)

Looks like Nokia won't be sending me an awesome birthday present (Not that I expected them to do anything!!!)! But at least the CEO (or his secretary) Took the time to look at the picture I sent and reply! That's an awesome company, and they'll have my business for quite some time!

Elop is a very busy but very... cool (a word he uses alot) CEO and the mere fact you got a reply is amazing, probably coz your mail was honest and straight to the point. You can bet your kodak that Nokias servers are getting stuffed with hand out requests!
