Lumia 1020: Where are these 41 megapixels ?

Hallo,

I take a picture with my Nokia Lumia. Then I cable it to the PC and open the folder "Pictures\camera roll", I download the photo that I just took. It is 1.88 MB file, size 1728x3072 pixels = 5'308'416 pixels, that is 5.3 megapixels.... I tried to find a setting about enabling the 41 megapixel but I could not find anything. So I wonder why does my Nokia Lumia 1020 take 5.3 megapixel photo instead of the 41 magapixel ? What am I doing wrong ? Thanks

I think you are using the default camera app. Try Nokia camera, I think it will solve your problem.

Have you tried running the nokia pro camera app, settings>pictures>capturemode, and then on the drop down menu, select 5 megapixels and 34 megapixels?
