Lumia 1020 wifi connection question

Hey guys, whenever i go to download something, i always get a message asking if i should wait for a wifi connection before downloading...

Problem is, the phone is already connected to a wifi connection, so why is it asking me if i want to wait? Am i missing something? or is this normal?

is your wifi actually working ?
to test it out first of all turn of mobile data on your phone or switch to airplane/flight mode;
then turn on wifi ,delete your wifi profile and re connect it.
go to internet explorer and try to open Windows Phone Central | News, Forums, Reviews, Help for Windows Phone
if it shows the page your internet is working if not then something is wrong with your router/network
if the wifi is working on other devices , try to do a soft reset if soft reset does not solve take it do nearest nokia care centre for diagnose.
