Lumia 1520 Display issue

So I've been using my 1520 for about a year now. 2 weeks ago this weird shadow appeared on the bottom quarter of my screen. I assumed it was an OS issue since I was running Windows 10 mobile build 10166. So I waited patiently to upgrade the phone to the next build because it was due time for a new build.

I updated the phone to build 10516 but the problem still persists. I'm reluctant to do a hard reset but I will do it if necessary when the next build is released.

Have you anything like this? is it a software issue or hardware defect? I'd hate to hear that it's a hardware issue. Is there a work around for this and what causes this?

Pictures have been attaches. Please excuse for low quality. Thank you for your help in advance.

Re: Lumia 1520 Display issue

Either that's screen discoloration, a hardware defect or the screen had warped. You need to get the phone repaired ASAP.

If the shadow moves with screen rotation then it's software. If it doesn't move with screen rotation it's hardware.

Mine did that too. Its not software related. Happened on WP8.1 PFD, downgraded to official 8.1 release, still there, upgraded to WM10TP, still there. It is still sitting in a drawer waiting for me to pull the trigger on putting a new screen on it. I'm using an 830 in the meantime.
