Did the price just hike up out of nowhere ? I remember seeing the AT&T off-contract price at $549 USD on the Microsoft Store and Amazon now its $585 USD .

probably due to the new Green color. that's the only recent change to the 1520 line I can think of.

As word has spread (& people have actually seen it) the huge Lumia 1520, it has become an underground fave. The rich experience with that sweet 6" screen has captivated some people.
With popularity has come price (rebound), though there may be some shortfall on current supply contributing to the price.

I bought a 1520.3 off B&H Photo just a few weeks ago.

The black model is at the same price it was and the yellow was the same when I ordered ($489.95). Yellow has gone up $10.04 since I ordered. The white is on back order and is a whopping $130.00 more than the black right now. I think it was that high when I ordered. Can't remember, white wasn't in stock then and did not interest me anyway.
