Lumia 1520 vs Lumia 1020 ( in terms of live tiles )

Hi.

I want to get a Nokia phone for my brother as a gift, but I want a phone that shows the

best of the windows phone 8 live tiles and the modern UI.

And I am stuck between the Nokia Lumia 1520 and the Nokia Lumia 1020.

which one of those two show the best of the windows 8 live tiles and the modern UI ?

1520 has 1080p screen at 6 inches. Hence many more live tiles.

1020 has 720p screen at 4.5 inches. Hence, less space for live tiles, and lower screen resolution.


P.S: I took 3 months to decide which one of these 2 i should go with, and even bough a Nexus 5 while i decided, but eventually I went with L1520. Which I believe is the best of windows phone 8 specs wise, at least.

I had a 1020 and now i use the 1520, frankly the WP experience is beter on the 1520 because of the third row of tiles and the higher resolution + bigger screen. The only thing that is somewhat less is the camera but not by much.

I just switched from a 1020 to 1520 last week. I definitely like the real estate better and find it weird to look at the 1020 with less tiles.

I like the 1520, but I felt the 1020 is a more polished phone. I've had a couple issues with the 1520 not charging completely over night, screen sensitivity and believe it's reading my storage incorrectly where my 1020 was as stable as a rock.
