Lumia 532 Windows Phone 8.1 vs. Android

let me start by saying that I am an Android user for some years by now.

I can buy the Microsoft Lumia 532 for a very attractive price. It should be my backup phone that I can take along just anywhere without worrying for a big expensive phone - as my other rather big LG G4.

The phone has internal memory of 8 GB which about half is used by the Windows operating system and the other half is free. My experience with Android is that the periodic updates of the Android apps takes quite a lot of the storage space. How is it with Windows? How often are there updates and do they take a lot of storage space?

I am not planing to have many apps on the Lumia except WhatsApp - is 8 GB storage enough?

Another thing - have no experience with the Windows OS - how good is it?

Is it easy to get used to if you come from the Android world?

Thanks for any comment!

Yeah, 8GB isn't as much as you think, but if you want to have only few apps on your phone, it should be alright. You can use a memory card and install apps on it. Windows Phone OS is great. It's not lagging at all, everything works fine. Animations works perfectly. It's not very hard. Play with it for few hours and you'll get used to it.
