Lumia 540 Rollback to Windows 8.1,how can I do it?

Lumia 540 Rollback to Windows 8.1

I've upgrade Lumia 540 to Windows 10 using Insider Preview. it seems the OS is buggy. Need to downgrade it back. When using "Windows Device Recovery Tool" , my phone is detected but it says "Package not available for this device"

Pls give me a solution.

Are you in the slow ring or fast ring? People enrolled in slow ring gets build 10166 which is outdated and has a lot of bugs while people in Fast ring gets build 10581 which is the latest and runs smoothly on almost all device. I'm using 540 too and got no problem. You can downgrade to WP8.1 OR you can enroll again in Insider Program in Fast Ring assuming you must have chose Slow Ring before.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a solution at this point as it seems to be affecting multiple devices. I'm getting the same message for the Lumia 735.

My guess is that either something went wrong with the new version of the Windows Device Recovery Tool to where it can't see the packages, or the latest version isn't meant to be rolled back from.
