Pardon me for bugging you all.
But can we set a song or custom music track located in phone or card memory as ringtone in WP8.1 ?

yes. Use the Ringtone Maker app published by Microsoft Mobile.

Yes, no special app required. As usual, copy the ringtones to folder on your phone and set any ringtone you like. Midi doesn't work however :/

I purchased Lumia 630 two weeks ago and come to love ❤ it the most.

The only place I have problem is every time I tried attaching file 📁 I get myself redirected to OneDrive instead of SD card.

I bought the Lumia 630 Single SIM a week ago and I'm impressed with it.

The build quality is different from other Lumia phones. The external shell is rough, which gives more grip while holding the phone and also no fingerprint marks will be left on the shell.

I am also very happy with the Windows Phone 8.1 OS, especially its Action Centre which has been of great help in my adjusting to the WP OS, as it is similar to the notification screen in the Android OS, which was the OS of the Micromax phone I was using previously. It's also buttery smooth and fast, even though it has only 512MB of RAM and having loaded my phone with a large number of games, music and IM apps. An Android phone having similar specs would have slowed down with the increase of data in the phone. Games like Temple Run which use a considerable amount of phone resources works well on the phone without lag. The camera is also very good, and even though it has no flash and is only 5MP, it takes pictures clearly without any blurring. It doesn't produce any grainy photos.

The call quality is good and clear and also the sound quality is very good.

I do have a few issues with the phone, such as regarding WhatsApp, where it forces me to reboot the phone on some occasions (not sure whether its a problem with the phone, the OS or with WhatsApp) and also clearing of notifications in WhatsApp in the action centre and live tile.

Overall, the phone is superb. I recommend this phone over its Android equivalents if you want a 10k smartphone.

Works butter smooth till now and I'm loving 😍 it.. Only problem I found is it heats up really fast. Even if I'm using instagram for 15 minutes it heats up.

Have now tried 2 two of these. On neither will screen rotate. Landscape mode just not possible. Phones bought in 2 different towns. Can't believe that the same fault on both phones is an unfortunate coincidence. Must be a WP 8.1 bug! Nokia Care about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Thanks in advance for any suggestions for resolving this problem.

Make sure your screen rotation is unlocked. It's in Settings> Screen Rotation> On/Off
Keep it 'off' if you want the screen to rotate.

I love the phone in the Cricket green. .
PRO's:
The screen is really bright for use outdoors
I understand the pixel density maybe lower, but it is a very good quality screen
Like the simple and quick way you can navigate the OS with one thumb
Like the native Bing weather App
Like the simplicity of the native music player (hopefully speed will improve with next update - MS says it will)
Like the simplicity of the native podcast player
Like the live tile summaries on Outlook and Calender
Transparent Tiles make for making your phone look unique
Actually, lots of Pro's so I won't list them all

CON's (for my usage - all these are relative comparisons to my Moto G)
Internet Explorer is slightly slower even when connected to the same wifi
Internet Explorer has a worse rendering of a pretty large number of web pages - won't even access some mobile pages
Wish the Alarm had a easily readable time confirmation on lock screen or status bar

BIGGEST GRIPE:
I've said this in other posts ( I'm a complainer, ha), but I listen to lots of TuneIn streaming radio stations on my commutes around Orlando where there is always good tower coverage. However, with my Moto G on prepaid (3G only) Verizon, I never, ever, have a hiccup or disconnect or buffer while listening. But, I had a Lumia 521 on T-Mobile and it had too many disconnects and buffering. And now I have the Lumia 630 on Cricket, sold as 4G I guess it's technically not, or not LTE anyway. I get good tower coverage (Cricket = AT&T) but I constantly get buffers and disconnects as well. Can't decode stream errors too.
So it's either the Windows version of the TuneIn App itself (happens with iHeart too), or its the Windows Phone software just not handling every tower hand-over well. Or it's that Verizon 3G's data handling, even though it is slower at around 0.09 Mbps, is far more stable and consistent than "jerky speeds" on other carriers 4G networks. Or maybe 4G signals are just harder to decode for a phone.

Anyway, It's such a sweet phone but that radio streaming annoyance is a deal breaker. Keep in mind the problem is on cellular tower handoffs, not on wifi, and it's in comparison with my flawless Moto G on the same routes. So, I'm still using my Moto G. If Verizon were to get a form of the 630 or 635 I'm definitely giving it a shot to see if it's the carrier.

UPDATE (not that anyone cares): I switched permanently to the Lumia 630. The simple to navigate OS is too sweet not to be using. The TuneIn issues is helped by taking the extra steps to manually select which stream to access. Then the connection is better when switching towers. Annoyed with the extra step, but oh well.

Soooo... now I can add the 630 to my collection! I actually purchased it for our week long camping trip. I know it sounds lame but I didn't want to risk ruining my brand new Lumia 1520. Overall, I'm pretty impressed. It's easy to tell that the specs are inferior compared to my previous 920/1520, but the 630 is a solid device on its own merit. It's great in the hand. I like the texture of the back and how sturdy the chassis is. This device is rock solid, at least it feels rock solid. This should be great while I'm out in the dirt (and hopefully no mud). I haven't tried the camera but I didn't really buy it for a camera or proximity sensor, lol.

Use the official file manager by Microsoft-It is called "files" and you can find it in the store. Search for the files using this app.

For transferring old messages via Bluetooth, use the transfer my data app. You can find out preinstalled on your phone 📱.

as for the recieved files the pictures will be in the saved pictures folder.
for other files they seem to have vanished, but no it has not .... those pictures and videos you sent over bluetooth can be accessed only through their respective apps
so if you had send a pdf or other file type there is no way you can find it . MAJOR DRAWBACK of WP
for sharing files on wifi as in android phone use FTP server | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
but you need to be connected to a router (no internet required).

I bought this phone 20 days ago,and I LOVE IT! My previous phone was an Android device (Sony Xperia U) but I was very unhappy with it so I decided to give Windows Phone a shot and it's been love at first sight! The phone is always smooth, fast and responsive(is veeery good in gaming as well)audio is awesome, the design is really cool (it doesn't look too 'cheap') and Windows Phone has just everything I need...I think I'll never go back to Android again! So People,If you're looking for a budget phone or a first WP phone look no further, but please do note that this device doesn't have front facing camera and flash...If the lack if these features annoys you, then I'm afraid it's not for you!
