Lumia 635 black screen white sad face after hard restet

I downloaded an update and I couldn't open mags or phone calls so I did a hard reset and after the gears it goes to a black screen whit sad face and turns off and when I have the USB charger connected it keeps repeating gears sad face over and over . How do I fix this

I have the same problem. I was running a Windows 10 Preview build, and it would no longer let me unlock the phone, among other strange issues. I also did a hard reset.

I have tried using several of the recovery tools mentioned in other posts, but I am not able to communicate with the phone via USB connection. Until that works, none of the tools are of any use. Unfortunately, I think our phones are permabricked.
