Lumia 640 T-Mobile windows 10

I need WiFi calling to work. My 640 is no longer my daily, but since I need that to work at work, I'll rather wait.

Wifi calling doesn't work 100% on windows 10 its very spotty works when it wants

Can someone try this scenario: t mobile/at&t Lumia 640 on windows phone 8.1 (denim). Download windows insider and join the release preview ring (this process took my at&t lumia 830 to windows 10 10586.107. As soon as update is complete switch to the production ring on the insider app. Now go to settings>update & security>phone update and see if that produces the 10586.168 build.

Posted via the Windows Central App for Lagdroid. I kid I kid :D

I have an AT&T gofone Lumia 640, unlocked, currently wifi only (no sim). Build ends up at 10586.164.

So how long does T-Mobile take to test new firmware? I can't believe it would take that much more of a rewrite to get it to work with Windows 10 Mobile for the WiFi calling etc.

It could be tomorrow or forever.

According to the thread over at MS, they've had the fix since first week in Feb.

Basically the way I quoted, Insider App > release preview (then reset the phone) > fully updated > switch to production ring > check for and installed the update that was available > then done.

I've tried doing that and I still haven't received the Production Ring update aka the 'official' Windows 10 update.

Today, out of nowhere, I noticed Wi-Fi calling working again. No idea how it happened, but thought I would mention it! I'm on Redstone 14295.

Do you have T-Mobile? Because I've been trying to get on 14295 and anytime I have my sim card inside the phone it just stays in a reboot cycle.

Yeah I took out my sim card and updated the phone completely with all the apps in the store and everything works perfect now.. Strange

I have an unlocked AT&T Lumia 640 with my T-Mobile SIM card installed.

I ran the Win10 Upgrade Adviser and received the following message... "Good news! Your phone is eligible for upgrade to Windows 10. We are working with your mobile operator and phone manufacturer to make the upgrade available for your phone and you'll see a notification when it's ready."

Is there anyone else with the same set-up, and if so, did you get your Win10 upgrade?

Yes, I have the same situation, sucks...
Still waiting but i'm on insider build

Buy a ticket to the stars!

This is posted from my tmo Lumia 640 running windows 10. No problems, I have been running it since December. Insider preview, of course. ☺
