lumia 640 update

2 questions:
Is there any news about windows 10 for phone release date?
and,
my last phone was 'Samsung Ativ S' and when the windows phone 8.1 my phone got the update only six-month later (after i changed CSC and hard reset my phone)
will it take that long to get the update with that phone too?

A couple of weeks ago, the site allaboutwindowsphone.com said the 640 will get W10M in the first wave of upgrades that is likely to start at the end of December.

Also said Microsoft is working closely with carriers - the goal seems to be to avoid the typical issues of carriers dragging their feet.
