i think no! bcuz now i have a att XL and before have a 640 att and i can unlock(de brand), but seens nobody work on that for the XL

Are you asking if your phone can be flashed? If so, then yes. I haven't done it but it appears to be a bit technical. You can find model-specific information over at lumiafirmware.com.

I am sure there is but you have to do your homework and select the best to flash it with. Why flash to another carrier? Go to an unlocked version.
A couple of years ago I was given a Cricket 635. It couldn't be updated. I flashed it to a Latin America version and it is now unlocked.
