Lumia 640 XL US Product Code?

I recently bought a Lumia 640XL (RM-1096). I bought it due to being fairly cheap and it supporting LTE on T-Mobile. Though it is Chinese. So I want to flash an unbranded US ROM on it so it won't be Chinese and I'll get updates when released in the US. Although I need a product code for it, which sadly I simply can't find online. If anyone knows the product code for the US 640XL I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

would a ROM for the single sim model work on a dual sim model?

sorry, your only options for the RM-1096 are

059X1C9 VAR APAC CN CV
059X183 VAR APAC HK CV

The first option when you turn it on after factory reset is language, once you set it to English, and the region to US, and delete the Chinese language and keyboards, it should work just as good as a native US version.

I wouldn't recommend installing a rom for a different model (RM) number. They have different numbers for a reason.

Also, is it really not possible to flash it to another region?
I have read some posts stating that it's possible flashing a Chinese Lumia with a US ROM.

Yes, it's possible to flash a Chinese Lumia with a US ROM, but that depends on a US ROM for that model actually existing. Unfortunately, in the case of RM-1096 there isn't one.

Wholeheartedly agree with PepperDotNet on this. These are the exact steps I followed (to set up for US English) and works great.

I was actually able to install the ROM for RM-1064 (640XL USA Single Sim) to my RM-1096.

It completely removed all that Chinese trash. Ironically enough though, the OS still detects the 2nd SIM slot, so sadly I still have the annoying icon on my status bar.
