On the current Redstone build, it's virtually a tie. I was getting two days between charges on my 640 XL running 8.1. 14393.5 will give you two days charge as well.

you can always find ways of improving it though working on your usage patterns. Remember that with time, the battery life on your phone also drops regardless of which OS you have
