It is not an option on a stock phone. Perhaps if you changed the FW, not sure.

I have internet sharing since last summers update on my 710 from tmobile. It works perfectly fine with my laptop and I don't pay anything additional

I have a 710 that came from T-Mobile with v7.2. I could not tether with the Total Internet plan. Upgraded to 7.8 using the seveneighter program without problems. Still can not tether.

I have a 710 that came from T-Mobile with v7.0. Upgraded to 7.2/7.5 with Zune and then could tether with the Total Internet plan. Did not upgrade to 7.8 because I might loose tethering.
