Hi.

Previously owned a Lumia 920 for a couple of month. Really liked the OS; however. The size and weight of the phone and massive battery drain whilst screen is on really bothered me. So I sold the phone.

I am wondering if the 720 would be a good option? I can get a grade A ex display pretty cheap.

I use the phone for browsing the net. Email, WhatsApp (I know of WP8 WhatsApp problems), Facebook etc.

Decent photos would be good. I did look at the 630 bit is missing things.

Is it still worth getting the 720 or is our better to wait a few months for a different?

Thanks

Does it show in the day to day running? Bit of net, Facebook etc. I don't use phone for games

Yea the camera is still quite good in its own right and the battery life is nice.
If I weren't spoiled by the 920's OIS and 1 GB of RAM (among others) I'd go for a 720.

It won't be as fast though, obviously.

If you wont play games frequently on your device then it's battery performance is definitely gonna last atleast 1 day! :)

Take care of the screen I bought the phone in INR 16,500, recently it just fell from a height of 4 ft and it cracked the screen though display and touch were working fine... Next I went to Nokia care.. Price of repairing the screen 7944 INR... half the phones price.. So tc of the screen

For me, I felt it was worth getting. I enjoyed the compact form factor, micro SD card slot and the phenomenal battery life. It is very lightweight and durable. I still have my 8X and 920, but I chose the 720 over those devices. The screen is amazing outdoors and the camera is pretty good, although I wish it was a bit faster because it is nowhere near as fast as the 8X or 920.

Only issue I had was the volume down button starting to work intermittently, so I just replaced the button strip on the inside. I also took the wireless coil out of the charging shell and put it inside the device, so now I have integrated QI wireless charging. With 64gb of micro SD memory now, I can install apps to the card without having the memory limitations of 8gb due to Windows Phone 8.1.

If you don't play graphic intensive games, which is the only thing you would be missing out on due to the memory limitation, it is a great device.

should i be using a case for protecting my phone? i am worried that using a case heats up the device and makes it bulky.
