Lumia 730 Price

Darn... Before reading this, I was hoping the phone to be at most 170.... I was hoping that if the 635 is around $129, the 730 would be slightly higher than that :P

730 is expected to launch at ₹14500 here in India i.e around $225. Even if MS screws its price, it won't be more than $250
 
New moto g with dual sim, 5in screen, 16gb storage, memory card slot and guaranteed android L update is launched in india for 12999. nokia will have to price lumia 730 in similar range if it wants to compete.
 
No way, 730 would be around ₹16000. Its upto people what they want to buy. Surely 730 would be getting future updates as well. & this is not the right thread to compare windows with Android. If you want to compare, start a new thread please
 
Nokia have launched it for 200 Euros i.e. something around Rs. 16000 in India. some news reports also confirmed the prices and date in India is around October. thus, i think, thats gonna be the price tag around the world.

may be, may be not. think of apple, they charge twice the price for the same hardware, and people pay. sometimes, only hardware does not decided the price.
i have bought Xolo Q900s 3-4 days ago. it's a nice piece, and definitely good at it's price. but, i am already missing my good old 720 which i broke. i have already decided half a mind to buy 730 soon as it hit the market.
somethings that doesnot show in comparison or specifications sheet, makes a lot difference. such as my Xolo win lacks ambiance sensor and zoomin in the camera app. now tell me, what the hell use of a 8MP auto focus camera without a slight zoom? further, xolo actually fails to play HD videos (720p i am talking about. forget 1080p); which were played on 520. now think about it. this is not mentioned anywhere, but just xolo offers the higher resolution doesnot mean it performs well.
 
further to add, 730 has a better battery and not to forget much better output which is a result of WP. and to add more, 730 has AMOLED against LCD in moto G, which gives u better contrast and lower power consumption. i will bet there will be a large difference between Endurance scores of them.
 
AMOLED & IPS LCD have their own advantages & disadvantages. As compared to ips lcd, amoled are not that wide angle viewable. Ips lcd have more colors as compared to amoled. Amoled are a bit dull(less colours) hence it helps you save the battery, unlike ips lcd which have more colours which drains more battery, hence normally amoled screens have a bit lower brightness. Talking about contrast, sharpness, ips LCD are better. Ips LCD are cheaper & amoled displays are costlier, hence you get more phones with ips lcd, not amoled. Amoled screens are also thinner as compared to ips LCD, hence phones with amoled are thinner

I still remeber your post when you decided to go for Xolo(if I recall it correctly) and I can understand your love towards 720 as your DP still displays this phone :-)
730 will surely be a good option and I am also looking for it :-)

I am always cool. Its really annoying sometimes that people start comparing Android & wp & take the thread off the topic. If anyone just wants to compare, a new thread can always be made. Its better if we stick to the topic of this thread

true bro... wen the thread is for price of 730... why unnecessary discussions in comparing android with wp?? n seriously this wpcentral is for winphans.. go n post in android central if anyone wants it..
