I'm not sure why people are suddenly talking about these phones since they were cancelled a long time ago. Don't forget that Microsoft's new strategy is to only make low and high end phones and business phones.

The reports from last summer said there will be 3 segments, low, business and high end with possibly 2 devices for each category. So it makes sense that the low end could be 550 and 650, the business/mid-range 750 and 850 and the high end we already got. MS can't afford to not have a decent mi-range offering. The price gap is too big between the 950 and the 550. And remember this cancelled phone with a big yellow unibody , black camera oreo and curved glass in the front . I think this was the 840/850. Now the redesign looks different. Unless the new phone is a 650 xl and it replaces the 850 in the lineup considering the specs are a 5.7 inch fhd screen and a snapdragon 617
