Okay, the Swedish retailer (LIONTECH / Welcome) has changed the date to September 22... I'm not surprised though, just hope they are not putting up false dates just to lure in a lot of pre-orders.

Three UK's PR people have confirmed to me today that they will not be carrying the 830, just the 735.

It looks like both the 830 and the 735 will be available in Portugal starting 3rd of October and the pricing is pretty bad for the 830.

The 735 will be sold for 250€ unlocked and the 830 will be sold for 400€ also unlocked.

Looking at both smartphones specs I really can't see what is justifing the 150€ price diference, it looks like the 830 will basically be dead on arrival no one will buy such a weak smartphone spec wise for such a high price, I have no ideia what Microsoft is thinking.

Lumia 830 will be available on Oct 3 in Malaysia. Priced at RM1399 (about $430). First 500 Lumia 830 customers will also receive Office 365 Home Premium for free.

A thought came into my mind that the 830 might not get released down under because the market will just laugh at the specifications.
0.9 MP front camera is pathetic and worse than previous windows phone models except for the 820 and below.
The 735 on the other hand with its HD snapper has got something the marketing people at the carriers can at least play with.

Would you like to share with us which retailers you have used in Sweden? I for one have not seen any indication of pre-ordering at any of the carriers or retailers like Elgiganten or Dustin.

<0.9 MP front camera is pathetic> I can agree there but 3 times better than the 820 and only 1/3 less than 930. I would have loved that the 830 came with a 5MP front camera but if selfies are your priority I guess that the back camera and the app Selfies is what will do the trick. If the front camera had been CONSIDERABLY BETTER on the 930 I would have gone there instead but I am 99.99 % sure I will stick with my choice and purchase the 830 when it is out (hopefully by the end of next week). Let's hope that Microsoft/Lumia engineers work on my two concerns now - All models should have memory extensions and all models should have great front and back cameras pixelwise as well as qualitywise and make it happen in the next batch of models.

Give it a couple of weeks.. it'll come down in price. You can now get a brand new 930 on Amazon (US) for less than $500.

I read on the Nokia Singapore Facebook page (search for Nokia Singapore) that 830 will be available today 27/9 for SGD529. I am going to Singapore today to check it out.

Insanity, has no bearing to what was announced as RRP which I think equated to around 260GBP before VAT was added (which was already arguably too much). 930 is 'only' 399GBP so it's more expensive than the current flagship.
