Lumia 830 video help

Hi, I'm jamadant a new windows phone user looking for some help please. I am a long time Apple user with a MacMini as my main PC, I've recently bought a Lumia 830 which I do like but I have a sync issue. I bought the lumia for photos and video but my Mac cannot read the videos taken it sees them as Unix executable files. As a result I have to add the .m4v to every video file taken. Any help would be greatly appreciated

sounds like the MIME type for .mp4 is not properly set and/or associated with an application. I'm not a Mac guy so I don't know what specifically you need to do but it's an issue with your system not the video files.
