Took delivery of a Lumia 900 yesterday and set it all up. Normamly I have my Wifi network hidden and although I can connect to it, as soon as the phone goes into sleep mode and the wifi disconnects it will not reconnect.
I have to go back into settings, wifi, advanced and add the network again; type in the SSID and connect. It then works perfectly until it disconnects..

If I broadcast the SSID it seems to reconnect fine. Is this a known bug?

Also, I cannot set a static IP address for the WLAN. I have DHCP disabled on this router and some other wireless networks I use - I've enabled IP/MAC binding on this network but at my work this will not be an options.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I too need a way to manually set the IP.

There is no way to manually set an IP address. It certainly is a strange one. Every phone/device that I've ever owned that has had a wired or wireless network adapter has allowed me to manually configure the settings. There must be a reason for the lack of this functionality on WP, although for the life of me I cannot think what it is.

Everyone figured out long ago that hiding your SSID is really no added protection, so I'm guessing it's not a priority. Wireless clients still know there's a wireless network there, my Win8 tablet even says hey look a hidden SSID is here. My advice, turn it back on and just use the regular security measures like WPA2 passwords and MAC registering if you need more.
