I'm a little confused about the Lumia 900 frequency bands or maybe just bands in general. I see that on GSM Arena that the frequency for the 900 as follows:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100

I'm hoping to get the 900 from Rogers (Canada) but want to unlock it to use it on another carrier, like Wind which according to wikipedia "transmits at 1710?1755 MHz, and receives at 2110?2155 MHz"

Does it mean that the 900 needs both 1700 & 2100 in order for it to work? or is 2100 enough?

Will the international version without LTE work on AT&T? I'm asking because I don't get LTE coverage where I libe, but I get HSPA+.

AT&T uses 850/1900 for 3G, Europe uses 900/2100 for 3G. You'll be fine. I use international imports.

That's what I was thinking...thanks! Do you know if the imported version will work with AT&T's HSPA+?

My Nokia N8 and my Samsung Galaxy II gets HSPA+. My N8 is a pentaband (5 bands) and my Galaxy II is a quadband. The Galaxy II was an import from Greece that I bought through NewEgg.

Without the 1700 band no phone will work on Wind.

Thanks, panandri! I guess I know that I'll be getting a Lumia 900 when they're released internationally...no sense in getting the AT&T version since I don't get LTE in Annapolis, MD.
